EVP and Chief Sales Officer

Larry Luteran

Larry Luteran is an executive vice president and chief sales officer for Encore. Larry joined Encore and Freeman after an incredibly successful 31 year career in various executive sales leadership roles for Hilton Worldwide.

Throughout his career, Larry has helped to lead and advance the meetings industry. He is the co-founder of the successful “Meetings Mean Business” campaign, which promotes the business of meetings as an enormous global footprint that is critical to the health of commerce, communities, families, charities and governments.

As a former NCAA Division-I baseball player at the University of Detroit, Larry lives in the moment and commits himself to the challenge of optimizing outcomes for clients and colleagues. He believes the hospitality and meetings industry gives him a chance to connect people in meaningful ways, and he is energized when able to anticipate something someone didn’t realize they wanted or didn’t think to request. As part of the Freeman team, he now represents the sixth Freeman employee to be inducted into the prestigious Convention Industry Council Hall of Leaders, joining Buck and Don Freeman.
